Handpan Man chronicles Johann Mcbee as he propells his previous music training into the expanding arena of Music Therapy. On his musical journey, Johann has discovered the Handpan (or Hang), and is striving to incorporate this instrument into his repertoire for music therapy session work. The film premiered on SuperChannel and also screened later on First Choice networks. Director, Writer and Editor – David Kiess

Ranch still

Ranch is a film about The Ranch Project, an art installation in the foothills of the Rockies, which was filmed over the course of year, through the 4 seasons, with time-lapse 16 mm Bolex photography. In the film-on-art genre, ‘Ranch’ is a clever mix of old Westerns, TV news, and gorgeous experimental film making with a very cool soundtrack. Jay Scott in the Globe called it “a stunning documentary about a work of art… that actually has become a work of art.” The artist is Alan Wood. Assistant Editor – David Kiess
